    Lead Faculty will meet with QM Coordinators to discuss the QM official review plan and progress. The QM plan was designed to guide RSU Lead Faculty in the preparation of their master courses for an official QM review along with other stakeholders (i.e. Deans, Department Heads, Lead Faculty, QM Coordinators). Before the master online course is scheduled for a QM review, it must have been taught in two different semesters. The syllabus must adhere to the 14 required elements as indicated by Academic Policies and Procedures Manual (3.6.3.4.2) (see Appendix A.).

For courses offered online who require mid-term and final exams, knowing how to schedule a proctored exam is a requirement. There are two separate but, distinct ways to ensure the authenticity of a high stakes test through a proctored exam with live proctors or enhanced authentication methods through keystroke analysis, face recognition comparison, and public information data known as Ucard. Learn how to add Ucard questions to your exams. Live proctoring services are available 24/7 for students who are unable to travel.

    TurnItIn is an originality service provided to RSU faculty that will check the originality of the sources used by students when constructing papers, journal articles, etc. The service saves faculty time by identifying works that were published by other authors (i.e. journals, newspapers, repository, books, etc.). If the faculty utilizes the e-rater feature (identifies major grammatical, spelling, subject/verb agreement, etc.) the instructor can focus on the content and substance of the paper. Students benefit from the e-rater tool by identifying areas of writing improvement thus, enhancing their writing skills. Student’s documents are uploaded to TurnItIn. Reports are generated to help enhance student writing skills and provide originality assessments based on citations and references. TurnItIn also has the capability to allow faculty to comment either by inline text, voice, or various commenting tools. Peer assessments can also be utilized to engage and promote collaboration among your students.
