The Build Bartlesville Innovative Ideas competition, coordinated by the Rogers State University Innovation Center, is currently part of a national competition recognizing exceptional entrepreneurship activities.
Build Bartlesville is one of seven entrepreneurial projects included in U.S. Sourcelink’s Take 5 for Entrepreneurship national competition, which runs online through 5 p.m., March 29.
The story with the most votes will be recognized as the “People’s Choice” at the annual U.S.SourceLink conference in Kansas City on April 2-3. The winner also will share a $2,500 prize with their U.S.SourceLink partner.
Build Bartlesville was nominated for the competition by SourceLink Tulsa, a local affiliate of the national organization that connects entrepreneurs and small business owners to a network of non-profit and government agency resource partners to help build businesses.
A collaboration between the RSU Innovation Center and the Bartlesville Development Corporation, the Build Bartlesville Innovative Ideas competition is dedicated to the entrepreneurial spirit of small business start-up and expansion of existing small business in the Bartlesville area.
Now in its second year, the competition is offering up to two seed grants to be awarded for the best proposals submitted by existing small businesses or start-up in the Bartlesville community. The grants are intended to create jobs in the Bartlesville community and may be used for implementing innovative ideas resulting in a small business start-up, upgrading a product line or service for existing small business that will increase revenues or branching into a new innovative market or service.
