RSU TRADITIONSHomecoming WeekThe university celebrated the first-ever Homecoming during the first week of November 2007, during the first Hillcat men’s and women’s basketball games. At RSU, Homecoming is quickly becoming a campus-wide tradition. A bonfire is typically held the night before the big games in the open area north of the Student Apartments. A “Paint the Paw” spirit competition is held during Homecoming Week, in which students and staff members compete to show their Hillcat pride. Other events include grocery cart races and spirit board competitons. The Homecoming Tailgate Party, held outside of the Claremore Expo Center, is one of the most popular Homecoming events for students, alumni, and the community. |
