March 25, 2009, is the Big Day – the 100th Birthday of Rogers State University! And RSU is throwing a big party!
The public is invited to attend the RSU Birthday Celebration, a day full of activities on Wednesday, March 25.
The day will begin with a Dedication and Naming Ceremony for the Student Center at 11 a.m. on the West Terrace of the new building on the Claremore campus, featuring remarks by dignitaries, ribbon-cutting, and the announcement of the official name of the Student Center. (It’s a secret!)
The ceremony will be followed by a Birthday Celebration at 12 noon in the Student Center, featuring a “Taste of Claremore,” food vendors in the Ballroom, music, tours of the building, and a 100-foot-long birthday cake.

The RSU Centennial Parade, featuring a variety of floats and area bands, will be begin at 2 p.m. at the Expo Center, continuing east on Will Rogers Blvd. to downtown Claremore. Everyone is encouraged to line the parade route!
Jeff Greenfield, CBS senior political correspondent, will give a free public presentation on U.S. politics at 7 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Student Center.
Greenfield is known for his commentary on politics, hostory, and current events during many years as a journalist for ABC, CNN, and CBS.
The day will culminate with a free fireworks display at approximately 8:30 p.m., celebrating 100 years of the school on the Hill!
