Real College Radio
KRSC-FM 91.3, or “RSU Radio,” is a 3,000-watt student and volunteer-operated radio station on the RSU campus.
RSU Radio is the only live broadcast, "college alternative" radio station in northeastern Oklahoma, debuting new local musicians, announcing and airing live sporting events, and providing the university and the community with public service programming.
RSU Radio features two additional production facilities used by the staff as well as students enrolled in audio production courses and working on individual assignments. Students are trained and hired to assist in station management positions such as Program Director, Production Manager, Music Director, and Promotions Manager.
The station’s primary studio houses a digital audio console, five microphones to provide multiple guest interviews, dual host capabilities, and live acoustical music. The station also is one of the few in the nation with dual turntables for live mixing.
RSU Radio 91.3 FM broadcasts live from the Claremore campus of Rogers State University.
The station is dedicated to providing quality programming to both the RSU campus and surrounding communities.
Students work to program the station, chart music to College Music Journal, and represent “Real College Radio” on the air seven days a week.
The station’s main format is primarily made up of independent artists from alternative, rock, hip hop, electronica, metal, and world music. A wide variety of specialty programming ranging from local to traditional Native American, bluegrass to classic country, and almost everything in between is also offered.
