RSU Public Television to discuss Voices of Bartlesville Documentary Thursday

RSU Public Television invites the public to the Bartlesville Public Library, 600 S. Johnston Ave., for a listening forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15.

RSU Public TV officials will present a brief overview of the station, its upcoming programming specials and the future plans for program development, including a documentary about Bartlesville. The documentary is currently in pre-production and station officials are looking for people to share their stories and photos of Bartlesville history.

General Manager Dan Schiedel will be on hand to field questions and listen to ideas. “It’s my hope that we will have a number of folks from the Bartlesville area attend and let us know what we can do to better serve their families and the community,” Schiedel said.

The station is based on RSU’s Claremore campus and reaches 1.2 million people within a 75-mile radius of the campus and is Oklahoma’s only full-powered television station operated by a public university.

RSU Public TV broadcasts on UHF Channel 35, Tulsa and Claremore cable channel 19, Bartlesville cable channel 4, DISH TV channel 35 and satellite systems across northeastern Oklahoma.
