RSU Pryor to Showcase Concurrent Enrollment on April 8

An April 8 event will showcase how high school juniors and seniors can earn college credit by taking concurrent classes at Rogers State University in Pryor.

The inaugural event will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, at the new RSU Pryor campus, located at 2155 Highway 69A at MidAmerica Industrial Park.

Students, parents and counselors will get an overview of the Pryor campus and learn about the advantages of RSU’s concurrent classes, which allow juniors and seniors to earn college credit while still in high school.

Taking college classes while still in high school provides several benefits for students, including:

  • getting a head start on college,
  • earning college credits early,
  • getting a taste of the academic and social aspects of college life, and
  • receiving free tuition, for up to six credit hours per semester (fall and spring), a significant savings for students and their parents. (Students are responsible for fees and books.)

Students who are eligible for concurrent enrollment need to register for the event by Friday, April 4. See eligibility requirements and paperwork.

Before enrolling, students will need to complete an RSU application for admission ($20 application fee), an RSU concurrent enrollment application and a high school transcript with ACT scores. Students can submit the paperwork at the April 8 event, must complete the materials in advance.
