RSU Foundation Auction to Feature Truck Raffle

The upcoming Rogers State University Foundation Scholarship Auction will feature a raffle with the winner choosing a Chevrolet or Ford truck or $20,000 in cash.

The RSU Foundation is selling raffle tickets through its April 30 scholarship auction for a chance to win their choice of truck or other vehicle priced up to $28,000 from either Jim Glover Chevrolet or Jack Kissee Ford. The winner also could opt to collect $20,000 in lieu of selecting a vehicle.

The raffle tickets are $50 each, or five for $200. The winning ticket will be drawn during the April 30 scholarship auction, and the winner does not need to be present to win.

All proceeds from the raffle will be used to fund RSU student scholarships for area students.

Tickets may be purchased at the RSU Development office on the Claremore campus or from any RSU Foundation Board member or auction committee members.

The theme for this year’s auction is “Saddle Up for Scholarships” and the event will be held at the Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs Events Center. The western-themed event will feature silent and live auctions and barbecue dinner.

Special musical guest for this year’s event will be Lindsey Cardinale, who was a top 12 finalist from American Idol’s fourth season. A concert and dancing will follow the auction.

This year marks the 11th anniversary for the auction, which has helped raise funds for unrestricted scholarships that help RSU students attend school and achieve their educational goals.
