RSU Collecting Money to Aid Hurricane Katrina Victims

The American Red Cross Corps of Rogers State University currently is collecting funds to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The RSU corps, which is an active on-campus student organization, has placed donation cans at campus locations, including the Student Union, the Department of Business and Technology office in Herrington Hall, the Department of Communications and Fine Arts office in Baird Hall and the RSU Radio station in Markham Hall. The donation cans will be available until Friday, Sept. 9.

Money raised by drive will support Red Cross relief efforts in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama as the group seeks to provide emergency shelter, food, water and other assistance, said Dr. Nat Hardy, RSU assistant professor and advisor for the campus group.

Contributors can also donate directly online at: http://www.redcross.org/ or via phone at: 1-800-HELP-NOW.
