Office of Student Affairs Welcomes New Career Services Coordinator

Rogers State University’s Office of Student Affairs this week welcomed Kimberly Curl as its career services coordinator, who started on Sept. 23.

In her new position, Curl will help prepare students for future employment and help connect RSU alumni with area employers.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Curl studied agricultural communications before joining the OSU staff as an admissions counselor, a job she held for four years.

While her focus at OSU was on academic success, Curl said that she always encouraged students to take advantage of professional opportunities.

“As a counselor, I always tried to emphasize the connection between the professional world and the academic world,” she said.

Prior to working at OSU, Curl was a reporter, graphic designer and photographer for Green Country Weekly.

In Career Services, students can get help:

  • Writing resumes.
  • Writing cover letters.
  • Applying for graduate school.
  • Learning networking and interviewing techniques.
  • Polishing their business etiquette.
