RSU to Host Oklahoma Accounting Educators' Conference on March 8

Rogers State University will host the 2014 Oklahoma Accounting Educators' Conference on March 8 in the RSU Centennial Center on the Claremore campus.

The daylong conference provides an opportunity to learn more about issues facing the accounting field, for both practitioners and educators. Attendees can earn seven hours of Continuing Professional Education credits, which includes two hours of ethics credits. The event also will feature a luncheon as part of the event and an awards presentation from the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Cost for the conference is $55 per attendee if registration is received on or before March 1, or $70 per attendee after that date. A registration form can be found at www.rsu.edu/OAEC.

"Developing and Analyzing Financial Ratio Time series for Audit Testing and Management Control"
Dr. Todd Jackson, RSU accounting faculty

"To Catch a Fraudster or Be a Fraudster: Which Are You?"
Paula Gorden and Dr. Thomas Carment, RSU accounting faculty

The event will feature an update about the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy from Dr. Carlos Johnson of Oklahoma City, who is serving as the 2013-14 chair for the national organization.
