Internationally known professional wildlife, western and landscape artist Jerry Yarnell will be featured among the artisans providing demonstrations during the fourth annual Art on the Hill, Sept. 20-21 at Rogers State University.

The recipient of numerous national awards, Yarnell will hold a painting demonstration in the Baird Hall atrium from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The demonstrations are part of the two-day Art on the Hill art show and sale, which will be held at RSU's Claremore campus. The celebration also will feature live music, theatre events, children's crafts and more. All activities are free and open to the public.

Yarnell and his unique style can be seen on his very popular PBS television series entitled, "Paint This with Jerry Yarnell™," which airs on RSU Public Television and other public television stations nationwide and in several foreign countries. He also has authored 13 books on painting and hundreds of teaching videos.

He has been honored with numerous awards with his work receiving enthusiastic responses from shows to galleries across the country. He is often invited to be the keynote speaker for entertainment or educational purposes for schools, civic groups, environmental groups, corporate meetings and conventions, as well as lay speaker for church services and related activities.

Through his Yarnell School, he has more than 42,000 students worldwide. His workshops at the Yarnell Studio & School of Fine Art (both at his Skiatook-area studio and across the United States) focus on sharing the fine-art techniques that he has obtained over his 30 years of painting and teaching. His complete series of illustration videos, DVDs, and books is available at YarnellSchool.com.
