RSU Exhibition to Showcase Student Art
Art in a variety of media by Rogers State University students will be exhibited April 6-20 at RSU's Foundations Gallery.
The Student Art Exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will feature work by current RSU students. A public opening reception for the exhibition and an awards presentation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, in the gallery.
RSU art students will compete for scholarships in the juried exhibition. The guest judge for this year's competition will be Steve Rosser, a mixed media artist from Tulsa. Rosser's images can be seen on the covers of music albums and magazines around the world, and in galleries, museums and private collections.
The exhibition features the best photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, graphic arts, and mixed media pieces created by RSU students during the current school year.
Foundations Gallery is located on the first floor of Baird Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore.
RSU offers a bachelor's degree in liberal arts (also available online) and associate's degrees in art with options in general art, art history and graphics. The degrees are offered by RSU's Department of Communication and Fine Arts in its School of Liberal Arts.
