I was inducted into Alpha Chi Honor Society as a junior last semester. I have also been awarded a scholarship for maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA.

Since transferring to RSU in August 2009, I have been actively involved in two student organizations (Student Broadcasting Association and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority). I'm currently the secretary of SBA and chapter president of AST. I also co-directed Hillcamp in August and have maintained student jobs in the Office of Admissions and RSU Radio. Through my student organizations, I have given back to the community by participating in projects for SafeNet, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Wood Manor Nursing Home, and other local or national philanthropies.

If chosen, I believe I would represent the reasons why people should attend or support RSU. I've been given great leadership opportunities, a great education, and overall, a great experience. I've evolved from being shy to outgoing since transferring to RSU. I have a lot of positive stories to share with others about what RSU has to offer. It would be a great honor to represent the university that has given me a positive, fun, and memorable college experience.

My first semester as a freshman was less than perfect. Since then, I feel like I have learned how to excel in my classes. Getting to know your professors is a great way to achieve this. Effort is everything.

I love Rogers State! Any time I can put forth effort to go out and reach the community I do so. Being Vice President of the President's Leadership Class has given me so many opportunities to reach people. Representing the school is fun.

Being chosen as the 2011 Homecoming Queen would give me so many experiences with the public. Communication is what I want to do with the rest of my life. Why not start now?

In recognition of my outstanding scholastic achievement, I was nominated and accepted for membership in Sigma Beta Delta, International Honor Society in Business, Management, and Administration, Spring 2011.

I transferred to Rogers State University in Spring 2010 and joined Alpha Sigma Tau in Fall 2010; upon joining I became very active on campus and with our philanthropies, local and national. I was a Hillcamp ambassador this past fall, served on the Greek Expansion Committee over the summer, Student Government Representative and have volunteered with other campus events.

I should be chosen for Homecoming Queen because I am dedicated to my school and love being here. I would also represent Rogers State University the way RSU should be represented with poise and dignity.

I have maintained a strong GPA throughout my studies in both my communications major and graphic design minor. In addition to having successfully completed two internships, I continually demonstrate the practical use of my education through the production of various mass media and strategic communication both on and off campus.

Rogers State University is an opportunity-rich environment. In my time as a student, I have co-founded The Basement (an artist collective sponsored by the Baptist Collegiate Ministry) served as a staff photographer and web editor for the Hillpost, and have been an active member of the Student Broadcasting Association. Currently, I am serving in leadership positions as the Campus Activities Design Chair and the Hillpost managing editor. Additionally, I have completed work for both RSUPR and the Innovation Center.

I am well suited to represent Rogers State University on the merit of my involvement and dedication to the goals of our institution. As a student I have actively pursued roles and positions that encourage the advancement of student culture on campus while maintaining strong academic performance. I have intentionally leveraged the opportunities provided through the school and sought outside opportunities that have grown my competencies while fostering new relations between outside organizations and the university. In short, I'm living proof that Rogers State University maintains their commitment to developing students into knowledgeable and skilled individuals who positively impact their community.

As a student who cares about his education, I dedicate most of my time to my studies. I can always be found doing my homework with my fellow classmates.

I have been involved both on and off campus for over three years. Off campus, I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for the past two years. While on campus, I have been an active member in the President's Leadership Class, and I was also a Chairperson for the Campus Activities Team for two years. And as of this year, I am an RA in the new student apartments. Apart from being involved in these organizations, I always make an attempt to attend events on campus.

The Homecoming King needs to be someone who is sociable, respectful, school spirited, and involved in the community both on and off campus. I feel I am those things.

Vote for TuRbO, because every bald man needs a crown…to cover his head.

Since attending RSU, I have brought my GPA up a full point and have graced the Dean’s list twice. I am very vocal in class and thrive during times of discussion and debate. I feel that I help others to learn because I like to ask questions.

I was responsible for writing legislation and initiating the campus’ recycle initiative as well as planning last year’s Zombie march for hunger which secured over 100 cans of food benefiting Safenet services in Claremore. I’ve served as SBA President for 3 years, and Vice-President for 1 and a half. Currently I am the SGA Treasurer and active in writing legislation to improve the campus according to the students wishes. I’ve also performed in several RSU plays and host 2 radio shows for RSU Radio.

I’ve been incredibly active in nearly all aspects of campus here at RSU and as a non-traditional student, I think I represent what can happen to anyone should they want that “real” college experience and apply themselves. I’ve enjoyed a fair amount of notoriety courtesy of this school and by serving as King, I could give back to RSU and show people what Hillcats are all about.
