For my academic studies, I have always been a dedicated student. In my sorority I have won the "geek of the week" award many times for most studies hours in a week's time. I strive to always do my best in all of my school work. I make time to maintain a high GPA while working part time as a student employee, highly active, holding 5 positions in my sorority, and holding an office position in SBA.
Here at RSU, I work very hard in maintaining my active status in the organizations that I am in. Not just by paying dues, but also by working hard to help plan events, raise money for causes that my organizations are very passionate about, and by volunteering at many school sponsored functions. For the surrounding community I actively participate in the JDRF walk, the Relay for Life activities, donating to fundraisers or causes that the local schools put on, and I help with giving back to the community by actively participating in the Kiddie Carnival every fall.
I feel that if I were to be chosen as RSU's 2012 Homecoming Queen that I am very capable of upholding the high stature of what RSU is all about. RSU is about helping and involving the community, I feel that I too hold those values. Being a representative of RSU would be an absolute honor and I feel that by upholding the values and standards that I hold personally then I can positively represent RSU! |
