Counselor in the health center.Personal counseling services are available exclusively for students at no charge.

The Counseling Center is staffed by a professional counselor who provides confidential, short-term counseling to currently enrolled RSU students.

Screening for Mental Health's College Online Screening Program is for students from Rogers State University, and the referral information at the end is specfically designed for our students.

Resources

The Counseling Center provides a variety of educational self-development workshops each semester. Videos, brochures, and information sheets are available in the counseling office for a wide range of mental health topics.

Students are encouraged to visit the following web sites to learn about a wide variety of strategies for coping and maintaining a positive, healthy mental outlook.

  • CampusBlues - This site is designed to help students learn about themselves and life by developing ways to adjust to new environments and support systems. The site offers mental health information and simple assessment tools as well as online resources.
  • Facts on Tap - This site provides information on alcohol and drugs, tips to cut down on drinking, how to help friends, a test to determine if you need help for your drinking, and where you can find help.
  • Depression Screening - This web site is sponsored by the National Mental Health Association (NMHA). The mission of this web site is to educate people about clinical depression, offer a confidential way for people to get screened for symptoms of the illness, and guide people toward appropriate professional help if necessary.
