Juniors & Transfers

The following scholarships are provided for juniors & transfer students enrolled at RSU:

Rising Junior Scholarship

This scholarship may provide up to $4,000 over two years of study to juniors who qualify. Students should apply as sophomores. Students must complete at least 60 college credit hours or have received a two-year associate's degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. These academic scholarships are designed for students who have completed their first two years of study at RSU to allow them to continue their studies in pursuit of a bachelor's degree.

Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher may receive up to $2,000 per year with these tuition waiver scholarships. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher may qualify for up to $1,500 per year. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher may qualify for up to $1000 per year. This scholarship may be used for tuition only and amounts may vary.

Baccalaureate Transfer Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who transfer with at least 60 hours from another institution into one of RSU's bachelor's degree programs. Students could receive up to $4,000 with these scholarships. The amount of the scholarship award will depend on the cumulative GPA the student received while earning an associate's degree.

Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above may receive up to $2,000 per year. Students who have a GPA of 3.50 or above may receive up to $1,500 each year. Students who have a GPA of 3.0 or above may receive up to $1000 per year. This scholarship may be used for tuition only and amounts may vary.

The Robert Aldridge Scholarship in Business Information Technology

Students eligible for consideration for this scholarship must be enrolled full-time as a junior- or senior-level student in RSU's Business Information Technology program. Applicants must have and maintain a GPA of 2.75 or above and demonstrate financial need. If renewal criteria are met, recipients may receive this scholarship for two years.
