Incoming Freshmen

Incoming freshmen who are legal residents of Oklahoma and have financial need and/or scholastic achievement are eligible to apply. Scholarships for scholastic achievement are based on ACT scores and GPA.

Scholarship priority deadline is March 1, unless otherwise noted.

Honors Program Scholarship

This four-year scholarship is for incoming freshmen seeking a bachelor's degree at RSU. Students selected for the program will enroll in special honors classes and complete a service learning component.

President's Leadership Class Scholarship

This four-year scholarship is for incoming freshmen seeking a bachelor's degree from RSU, who possess strong leadership skills and plan to be actively involved in student life on campus.

Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Academic Scholars
(Automatic Qualifier)

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and Rogers State University offer scholarships of up to $28,000 over four years of study to students who score in the 99.5 percentile or above on the ACT or who achieve status as National Merit Scholars, National Merit Finalists, or Presidents scholars.

Regents' Scholarship

These baccalaureate scholarships are provided to students with superior academic performance. Students who receive an ACT score of 30 or above may be eligible to receive up to $24,000 for four years of study at RSU. The scholarships are funded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, and by a tuition waiver from RSU.

Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Academic Scholars
(Institutional Nominees)

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education & RSU offer scholarships of up to $20,000 for over 4 years of study to students who receive an ACT score of 30 or above, or who achieve a grade point average of at least a 3.8 and a class rank in the top four percent.

Note: The following scholarships are for one year only. Students are encouraged to complete a new scholarship application each year.

President's Scholarship

These distinguished scholarships are awarded to students with stellar academic performance by the president of the university. To be considered for a President's Scholarship the student must have an ACT score of 28 or 29 and a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Academic Excellence Scholarship

These scholarships are based on academic achievement and demonstrated potential for success in college. Students must receive an ACT score of 26 or 27 and have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship may be used for tuition only and amounts may vary.

Academic Merit Scholarship

These scholarships honor the student's hard work and academic achievement in high school by. Students who score a 24 or 25 on the ACT and have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher may qualify for this tuition waiver scholarship. This scholarship may be used for tuition only and amounts may vary.

Academic Scholarship

These scholarships are for students who score a 22 or 23 on the ACT and have a cummulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship may be used for tuition only and amounts may vary.

Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarship

Valedictorians of high school classes may apply for this tuition waiver scholarship. Salutatorians of high school classes may be eligible for these scholarships. This scholarship may be used for tuition only and amounts may vary.

Freshmen Departmental Scholarship

Students entering college for the first time may qualify for these scholarships. The scholarships are designed to help academically qualified freshmen begin their college years with recognition and assistance in paying for college. These scholarships are based on the student's high school class rank. All recipients must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students who rank in the top five percent of their high school class may receive up to $2,000 per year. Those who rank in the top 10 percent may receive up to $1,500 per year. And those who rank in the top 20 percent of their high school class may receive up to $750 per year. This scholarship may be used for tuition only and amounts may vary.

Other Scholarship Opportunities

Endowed Scholarship

The RSU Foundation currently offers more than 70 scholarships through its endowment program. These scholarships are made possible through the generous contributions of alumni, friends, foundations, and corporations. Endowed scholarships may be used to pay for tuition, fees, books, or other college-related expenses such as room and board. Most endowment criteria are based on academic merit with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0 and full-time enrollment status. In many cases, financial need also is considered.

Sarkeys Foundation Endowment Scholarship

This is one of the university's named scholarship endowments. Students eligible for consideration for this scholarship must achieve a minimum score of 500 on the GED examination. Preference is given to students who have attended Adult Basic Education classes on the RSU Campus.

ConocoPhillips Petroleum Opportunity Scholarship

Generously established by the Phillips Petroleum Company, the purpose of these scholarships is to help Bartlesville-area residents to improve their overall quality of life through higher education. Bartlesville residents who are dedicated to the completion of their post-secondary education and are in need of financial assistance are encouraged to apply. Special consideration will be given to those whose children are currently attending Jan Phillips Elementary School in Bartlesville.

B.L.E.S.S. Fund, Inc (Bartlesville Lincoln Elementary School Scholarship)

The purpose of B.L.E.S.S. is to honor and immortalize the students and staff of the historic school by providing scholarships for college education. It is an interest free loan scholarship primarily intended for average students from middle-income families even though others are not excluded from consideration.

Paving the pathway to higher education for enthusiastic students, regardless of academic, social, or economic status, while setting an example of the importance and empowerment of philanthropy for future generations.
