Dr. Sally Emmons received a doctoral degree in English from the University of Oklahoma. Her academic specialties include Native American art and literature and contemporary American literature. Her dissertation focused on the role of humor in tribal cultures, with special emphasis on the use of humor in contemporary Native American literature and art. She received a master’s degree from OU and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
