Martha
Jagel received a master’s degree in
occupational and adult education from Oklahoma
State University and a bachelor’s degree in
business education from the State University
of New York (SUNY) at Albany. Her areas of
specialty include business communication, business English,
introduction to business, office machines,
medical transcription, keyboarding, database
management, office administration, court
reporting classes, and communication skills
for managers and professionals.
Mrs.
Jagel is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Honor Society, Delta Pi
Epsilon (Honorary Graduate Society in Business Education), Pi Omega Pi
(National Business Teacher Education Honor Society), and Psi Chi
(National Honor Society in Psychology). In 1996, she received the
Pfizer Excellence in Teaching Award and is the recipient of two NISOD
awards for teaching excellence.
In
addition, Mrs. Jagel has traveled extensively, particularly
internationally, which has resulted in post-graduate studies and
volunteer work in ESL (English as a Second Language). She is
currently serving on the Assessment Committee and is chair of the
Library Committee.
