Alexie, Sherman. “The Joy of Reading and Writing: Superman and Me.” The Writer’s Presence: A Pool of Readings. 4th ed. Ed. Donald McQuade and Robert Atwan. Boston: Bedford/St. Martin’s, 2003. 61-4. (The first line of the entry begins at the margin. The second line and third line will be indented five spaces. This is the opposite of a paragraph. It is called outdenting.)
3) Paragraph summary (Paragraph should be indented and be 7 to 13 sentences in length. This paragraph should summarize the main ideas in your own words.)
4) Paragraph response (Paragraph should be indented and be 7 to 13 sentences in length. This paragraph is your opportunity to state your opinions about what you read.)

Each paper should follow MLA guidelines. Pages should be numbered in the upper right hand corner. Ask questions if you do not understand how to document or what each portion is asking you to do.
