SBS 3033
Spring 2009
Group Project
New Guidelines
April 20, 2009
There will not be any class
presentations of the articles. Each student is responsible only for reading and
writing about the two peer-reviewed academic articles selected.
The entire grade will be based on this individual work. The deadline for
the assignment has been moved up; it is now Thursday April 30 at 8 AM.
Please submit all of your work
electronically, with attachments to one e-mail (subject line: Perspectives
Project plus your fall name). The following elements are required.
Please submit the following, all as
attachments to a single e-mail:
1.
Prepare an analysis for each article using the form provide on the course
website under
Article Analysis Form
2.
Write a paper of two to four pages, typed and double-spaced in a 12 point font,
in which you discuss how each of the articles you analyzed could be useful to
people considering the question assigned to your group. The most important
criteria the professor will employ in evaluating your paper are (a) the degree
to which you mastered the articles, (b) your effectiveness in relating the
content of the articles to the controversial issue, and (c) the professionalism
of your writing.
3.
Bring copies of both articles to class no later than Wednesday April 29, or
bring them to the professor’s office prior to that. Write your full
name neatly at the top of the page on each article. Or, if you have an
electronic copy of one or more articles, you may e-mail the article(s) along
with the rest of the assignment.
Only full-text is acceptable – do not send a link!
