Required Assignment

Assignment due 8:00 AM on Wednesday September 10, 2008. Submit as e-mail attachment.

Evaluate the article “Monkey Business” by L. Gregory Jones: in what sense(s), if any, is this a scientific report?  Be sure to explain why you think as you do.

Your paper is to be a maximum  of two double-spaced pages (12-point font).  Produce the document in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)  -- or, if you use another program, save it in a text format (.rtf or .txt) so the professor can open it. Be sure that your name is included in the document.  Send it as an e-mail attachment with the subject line Perspectives Money Business, followed by your full name, e.g., Perspectives Money Business, Jane W. Tarzan.

This assignment is worth 20 points, and is in addition to the required work already described in the syllabus.

Extra Credit Option

The first student who locates the monkey study mentioned in Jones’s  article  will earn 25 points of extra credit.  To earn the extra credit, you must be the first student to e-mail the instructor with the following information:

Author(s) of the article

Full name of journal in which it was published

Date of publication

Pages

If you can provide an abstract of the article, you will earn another 25 points.

E-mail your information to the professor with the subject line: Money Business Study Located, followed by your full name. Deadline: 8:00 AM on Wednesday September 10, 2008.
