| Cathy Coomer is the General Manager of KRSC-FM 91.3 Real College Radio in addition to her duties as an instructor in the Communications & Fine Arts department. Cathy's main discipline is in Radio and TV production, Writing, Shooting and Editing but also teaches a number of other CFA courses including Speech Communications. Before coming to RSU to help initiate the BA program, she taught in the department of Communications at Pittsburg (Kan.) State University, where she served as Assistant Professor and Director of Broadcasting. She has also worked in the private sector as an independent producer/promoter for events, seminars and workshops as well as producing an independent film in Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma. Coomer has worked as a producer, reporter, public service director, and programming manager for television and radio stations in Kansas and Missouri. She received an M.A. degree in Communications with a Public Relations emphasis as well as a B.A. degree in Communications, both from Pittsburg State University. | |
