A machine has three critical component parts that interact. The three parts have component reliability of .96, .90, and .98.

a.  Compute the system reliability of the system.

b.  Determine the new system if the component that has a .90 component reliability is redesigned to a .94 reliability.

c.  If the machine could be redesigned to allow redundancy for the part that presently has a reliability of .90, what would be the new system reliability of the machine.
