Faculty Represented at National Educators Conference

Two faculty members at Rogers State University will be recognized for their work as researchers and educators during an annual conference for business educators next month.

Dr. Masoud Saffarian and Dr. Dana Moore Gray, associate professors in the RSU Department of Business, served as editors for a doctoral research paper by students in Tehran, Iran. The paper, titled “Factors Affecting Brand Equality and Customer Relationships in an Insurance Company in Iran,” has been accepted for presentation at the 2017 Association of Collegiate Marketing Educators, part of the Federation of Business Disciplines conference.

The research paper was named the Best of Track in Product and Brand Management and will be published as part of the official conference proceedings.

Gray also co-authored a paper titled “Contemporary Marketing,” which will be presented as part of the Marketing Discipline and Pedagogy track.

Saffarian began working at RSU in 2008. Prior to his time at RSU, he taught economics, accounting, management, finance, and other university classes in Enid and Stillwater. Gray started working at RSU in 2004, having previously worked in marketing and public relations for national corporations based in Tulsa.

RSU’s Department of Business works closely with area business and industry leaders to create degree programs that prepare students to compete in the global economy. The department serves students with a focus on individual instruction and hands-on learning, both of which can be supplemented with real-world internships at area businesses.
