Scott Robert Reed, developmental instructor at Rogers State University, and Dr. Brenda Tuberville, assistant professor and coordinator of developmental studies at RSU, authored "Writing in a New Language: An Introduction to Academic Writing," published by Fountainhead Press, and will be using this textbook in all sections of basic writing taught at RSU. Cathy Coomer, assistant professor in the Department of Communications at Rogers State University and general manager of RSU Radio, was named vice president of the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association (OBEA) for 2011-2012. Coomer recently was elected at the group’s annual meeting at the OBEA Student Awards Ceremony in Oklahoma City. Read more.
Dr. Kevin Woller, Associate Professor of Psychology, was co-author of a journal article titled Sleep Habits and Patterns of College Students: An Expanded Study which was published in the Journal of College Counseling in the fall of 2009. He also received the "Award of Excellence" from the Oklahoma Blood Institute for his work as Rogers State University Coordinator for 5 years, assisting in the collection of over 500 pints of blood, and promoting community service through donations. Finally, he was the 2008-2009 recipient of the Rogers State University School of Liberal Arts Service Award. This award presented yearly to one faculty member from the five departments that make up the School of Liberal Arts for exemplary service to the institution and the community.
