Communication Students Film Emergency Services for Class Project

EMS Jordyn & GloriaTo support RSU’s Emergency Medical Services program, students from the Advanced Broadcast Practicum class this semester have been filming a promotional video that included a re-enactment of a car accident.

The communications students worked with the Claremore Fire Department, Pafford EMS, and Tulsa’s Life Flight to film re-enact a car accident near the Claremore EXPO Center on March 31.

The students filmed the paramedics extricating the victims from the crashed car and getting them to the hospital.  During the process, the students staged different scenarios from different angles in order to get a variety of footage for the video, said RSU Assistant Professor of Communications Cathy Coomer, who is teaching the class.
