RSU’s 96th Commencement Ceremony
Commencement Speaker
 Oklahoma Representative Tad Jones will be the commencement speaker for both ceremonies. Rep Jones was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1998.
Currently, he serves as Chair of the Education Committee and Vice Chair of the Appropriations and Budget Committee.
Jones received a business and marketing degree from the University of Tulsa and he and his wife, Samantha, live in Claremore with their two children.

- Associate’s Ceremony - 10 a.m.
- Bachelor Ceremony - 1 p.m.
Both events are held at the Claremore Expo Center and a REQUIRED graduation rehearsal will be held Friday, May 9 at the Expo.
The associate’s rehearsal will begin at 1 p.m. and the bachelor rehearsal will begin at 3 p.m.
Honors Programs
- All Honors Ceremonies held on Friday, May 9
- 5:00 p.m. - Department of Math, Science & Health Sciences followed by a reception
- 6:00 p.m. - School of Liberal Arts followed by a reception
- 7:30 p.m. - School of Business & Technology followed by a reception
The ceremonies will be held in the atrium area of the Health Science building, and the receptions will be held in the atrium area of Herrington Hall.
