Baird Hall serves as the home to programs in English, arts, humanities, history and political sciences. Renovated and expanded in 2010, the 52,000-square-foot facility features an entry hall, commons area, eight additional classrooms of various sizes, four seminar rooms, a research classroom, several learning laboratories, and faculty offices. Special features of the building include a digital/high-definition performance studio equipped with cameras, a control room, studio lighting and stage designed in an amphitheater style. In addition, the building includes an art gallery and a special classroom and lounge for the University’s Honors Program. The Foundations Gallery, located in the art department on the first floor, regularly displays student, faculty, and guest exhibits.
