Earn college credit for your Technology Center classes? RSU can make it happen!

Want to get a jump start on earning a college degree? High school and adult students can earn up to 30 hours of college credit for courses taken at area Technology Centers and apply those credit hours towards an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree from Rogers State University. This program allows students like you to get a head start towards a college degree. Plus, since students only pay a small, per-hour service fee to transfer the credit hours, you can enjoy a significant cost savings.

How it works

Students enrolled in an approved program at area Technology Centers can apply up to 30 hours of their technical credits toward a two-year Associate in Applied Science in Applied Technology degree at RSU. After successfully completing the required general education and core courses at RSU, students will have earned their associate's degree.

Earn a Four-Year Degree

After completing the A.A.S. degree, students can continue their education by pursuing RSU's four-year Bachelor of Technology degree. RSU is one of the few universities in Oklahoma that offers both two-year and four-year technology degrees.

Costs

Students will be charged a nominal service fee of $8 per credit hour for the technical credits applied towards the associate's degree. However, in some circumstances, for high school students, those fees may be waived. Contact the RSU enrollment office for more information.

RSU - Technology Center Cooperative Agreements

RSU has cooperative agreements with the following Technology Centers:

>	Central Technology Center (all campuses)
>	Northeast Technology Center (all campuses)
>	Tri-County Technology Center
>	Tulsa Technology Center (all campuses)

What are the requirements?

High school students:

>	Enrolled in one of the four Technology Centers listed above
>	Be a junior or senior
>	Be enrolled in a co-approved program
>	Present an ACT score of 19 or ACT PLAN score of 15, or high school GPA of 2.5 or higher
>	Provide a statement of understanding from a parent or guardian

Adult students:

>	Enrolled in one of the four Technology Centers listed above
>	Submit a special application form
>	Be enrolled in a co-approved program

Why choose RSU?

RSU offers courses to meet the needs of your busy schedule. RSU has three convenient campuses in Claremore, Bartlesville and Pryor and also offers an extensive number of courses through its innovative RSU Online program, which allows tremendous flexibility for students with busy schedules. The A.A.S. in Applied Technology is one of four associate's degrees available entirely online at RSU.

But what if RSU isn't listed as the “primary” education partner for the Technology Center I attend?

Students can apply their technical credits to either the Technology Center's primary education partner or to a secondary education partner. This provides students with more flexibility in choosing an associate's degree program that will best meet their needs.
