Students must arrange in advance to take the computer proficiency examination before each scheduled exam date.Sign up using one of the following methods:

In order to graduate with a degree from Rogers State University, students must fulfill the RSU computer proficiency requirement.
The computer proficiency requirement may be completed through one of two options:
- Successful completion of CS 1113 Microcomputer Applications
- Pass an institutional computer proficiency exam at RSU
Students are encouraged to complete the computer proficiency requirement within the first 24 semester hours attempted. Computer proficiency examinations are currently offered on the RSU Claremore campus.
Prior to the examination date, students must pay $36.00 to the Office of the Bursar and purchase a license for the Challenge SAM examination software. This software can be purchased from the RSU Bookstore for approximately $26.00 plus tax.
Students who enroll in CS 1113 Microcomputer Applications and do not satisfactorily complete the course cannot take the computer proficiency exam, must must retake CS 1113 Microcomputer Applications and earn a passing grade to fulfill the computer proficiency requirement.
Also, if students have previously taken the computer proficiency exam and did not receive a passing grade for the Microcomputer Applications course, they can either purchase a new SAM packet bundle with the textbook or SAM packet that includes projects.
