ADN & Paramedic/LPN to RN Bridge

  • After classes begin in August, your instructors will tell you when it is time to get your drug screen done.
  • The drug screen must be done in the Student Health Center (SHC) and be within 30 days prior to beginning clinical rotations.
  • The cost of the initial drug screen is incorporated into the fees of your nursing courses
    • However, IF you need to have your drug screen repeated because you did not start clinical/field experiences within 30 days, then you must pay an additional $26.00 (subject to change) at the Bursar’s office to have the drug screen be repeated.
  • You will get a copy of your results immediately, unless your drug screen is positive.
    • In the even that your drug screen is positive, the SHC will notify the Health Sciences Department Head.
    • There will be an additional $26.00 (subject to change) fee for the urine specimen to be sent out for further evaluation.
    • You will be notified by the SHC when your results have been returned and are available for you to pick up.
    • The Health Sciences Department Head will also be notified with the outcome, once your results have been returned to the SHC.
