Did you know that Spanish is the fourth most spoken language and that there are more than 400 million Spanish Speakers in the world? 

Spanish is spoken by more than 46 million people in the United States.

The Federal Government, industry and commerce, travel and tourism, judicial systems, hospitals, and schools need professionals who can communicate in Spanish.

At RSU, we prepare students for the demanding opportunities facing professionals in the international and national multicultural arena; we help students become bilingual professionals with a very important asset to have in the work place.

Students may take courses in:

• SPAN 1113 - Beginning Spanish I
• SPAN 1223 - Intermediate Spanish II
• SPAN 3123 - Advanced Composition and Conversation I
• HUM 3213 - Studies in Latin American Culture
• HUM 4113 - International Cinema
• and others

Students may participate in RSU activities such as:

• RSU student organization's Spanish Club: The Spanish Club fosters opportunities for students to explore and familiarize themselves with Hispanic culture.

Degree requirements:

• Minor in Liberal Arts (Spanish Option)
