Programs of Study

B.A. Liberal Arts

English Option:
Offered through the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts degree, an English option explores the world of written and literary culture. Drawing on the interdisciplinary tradition of the liberal arts this degree offers students the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills with a focus in the English Language.

A study of the Liberal Arts provides a strong, broad-based education. The concepts, experience, and creations of people from pre-history to the present are studied with the goal of providing the students with a sound grounding in our cultural heritage.

Students may take courses in:

• ENGL 4223 - Shakespeare
• ENGL 4343 - Regional Literature
• ENGL 4133 - Fiction Writing
• ENGL 4123 - Native American Literature

Students may participate in RSU activities such as:

A.A. Liberal Arts

English Option:
The degree with the English emphasis is designed to provide the student with the first two years of general education requirements for transfer to a four-year program.
