At Rogers State University we believe that community interaction in a positive academic climate creates opportunities for cultural, intellectual, and personal enrichment for the University and the communities it serves.
For this reason, RSU promotes and encourages students, faculty and staff to engage in activities that serve communities in Claremore and beyond.
In addition to the service opportunities performed by student organizations, RSU offers several opportunities for all students, faculty and staff to get involved in community-based and volunteer activities. These include:
- Art on the Hill, an art festival that helps fund college scholarships
- Big Brothers, Big Sisters, an organization that partners youth with mentors
- Hillcub, a program that enhances the learning experience and cultural development of students at Claremont Elementary School
- MLK Week of Service, a time of community service and interaction that creates change and improvement in the area; and the Rogers County United Way, an organization that benefits non-profit programs in Rogers County
