Linda Andrews
Assistant Vice President for Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment

Professor Andrews provides strategic and academic planning, support assessment and program review activities and coordinate accreditation processes and major academic projects. She is located in the Office of Academic Affairs, reporting to the vice president. She also will remain assistant professor of nursing at the university.

Previously, Professor Andrews was Department Head, Health Sciences from 1989 to 2008.  Additionally, she served at the helm of the academically recognized Rogers State University nursing program during that period.

She currently is pursuing a doctoral degree in family science from Oklahoma State University. The title of her dissertation is “Adult Caregivers Motives for Helping and the Effect on Their Wellbeing.” She received a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas, both in nursing. She resides in Tulsa.

She was instrumental in the design and development the bachelor’s degree in nursing and bachelor’s degree in sport management, which began at RSU fall 2008.

Her long career in nursing includes home health administrator for Upjohn Healthcare Services in Tulsa and Bartlesville. She also was director of hospital-wide staff development at Doctor’s Hospital in Tulsa and coordinator of continuing education at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. Prior to joining the RSU faculty in 1986, she was Level Coordinator at the Hillcrest Medical Center School of Nursing from 1970 to 1974 and Adjunct Professor at the University of Tulsa College of Nursing. As a registered nurse, her clinical practice includes intensive care at Hillcrest Medical Center; coronary care at Arlington (Texas) Memorial Hospital; and men’s general receiving at Fitzsimmons Military Hospital in Denver, Colo.
